Governing Body and its functions


Every institute of CMRGI will have a Governing Body consisting of:

  • 1. Chairman (Secretary & Correspondent of MGRES)
  • 2. Member (Chairman of MGRES)
  • 3. Member (Vice-Chairman of MGRES)
  • 4. Member (Treasurer of MGRES)
  • 5. Member (Member of MGRES)
  • 6. Nominated Member from Industries Ex-Officio
  • 7. Representative from University Ex-Officio
  • 8. Representative from Commissioner Technical Education Ex-Officio
  • 9. Representative from Regional Office, AICTE, Chennai Ex-Officio
  • 10. Principal of the College Member Secretary
  • 11. One Senior Teacher on rotation for every three years from the college Ex-Officio

The Governing Body should meet at least twice in a year.

Functions:


  • 1. To monitor the academic, student, faculty development and other related activities of the college.
  • 2. To approve the recommendations of the Staff Selection Committee.
  • 3. To consider for implementation the important communications, policy decisions received from the University, Government, AICTE, etc.
  • 4. To consider the recommendations of the Planning and Monitoring board of the college from implementation.
  • 5. To prepare and approve the annual budget of each college.
