NSS PROGRAMS

The National Service Scheme is an Indian government-sponsored public service program conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports under Government of India and is popularly known as NSS.

NSS was formally launched on 24th September, 1969, the birth centenary year of the Father of the Nation. Therefore, 24 September is celebrated as NSS Day every year . There were various competitions conducted like drama, poster presentation, quiz and elocution.

This programme aims to provoke a thought for social welfare in students and to provide service to society without bias. NSS volunteers work to ensure that as many as, who is needy gets help, so as to enhance their standard of living and lead a life of dignity.

The Motto of NSS “Not Me But You”, reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for self-less service. NSS helps the student’s development & appreciation to other person’s point of view and also show consideration towards other living beings.

We proudly say that CMR College of Pharmacy is one of the finest colleges to have a NSS Unit officially approved by JNTU-Hyderabad with for about 150 NSS student volunteers.
